I had a blast at the field trip today, thanks to all the models for being such great sports! I learned so much, I just wish we had more light so that we could have kept shooting for longer. So without further ado, (drum roll please!) here are my pictures!
*hint: If you want to see the BIG version of the pictures, but don't want to miss any of the lovely music that I've put in (hee hee) ... Right click on the photos and click open in new tab.
I had a tough time with the group poses and not just with the large group, but anything more than 1 person is too much for me. This is my best group photo, it's not the greatest but I didn't want to have a post without showing everyone.

I love this pose, though not loving the white wall.....

I see some sparkles! Alexis, do I need to do something about the white balance? Is it to yellow?

The BW version is nice too

She is just ADORABLE! I wish I had more space on the right so it doesn't look so choppy.

This picture isn't in focus, but it has a nice overall look to it.

Isn't this such a sweet picture?? Too bad they are not a real couple :P
(I hate that pole in the background!)

My second attempt at silhouette went better than the first at willow park.
I really like the arch way.

THANKS AGAIN TO ALL THE MODELS!

Did I loose my kit lens? I never knew I will have to go and check. Whoops. These pictures are great you did an awesome job.
WOW you did such a good job on the field trip. Your family shot is great. I had a hard time shooting more than one person as well. But it looks great! The silhouette looks perfect. Great job!
Beautiful work, Annie! You did a great job with your images from the field trip, and I also loved reading your words about them! Your group shot really does look nice - don't be too hard on yourself. Also, the second photo is great - you did a great job with the angle and perspective on that one. You did a great job with your black & white conversion, and I will show you how a different crop could make the photo of the little girl even stronger. I love your silhouette - what a great capture of the sisters!
Critique: I have 2 things to offer critique on. 1) The image that you asked about the white balance is too yellow. To fix that, sometimes even when it's shady or cloudy, you have to set your white balance to daylight to trick your camera into adding less yellow. If that doesn't work out very well, a custom white balance will help you get good color. 2) The photo of the couple is good, but it would have been even better if there had been less background distraction. The same goes for the silhouette image. A slightly different angle would have placed the railing far enough away from the little girl's head that it wasn't as distracting.
Overall, great work!
Annie you are a terrific photographer! I think your pictures of people are very well done. Keep up the good work.
